My friend suffered really badly with varicose veins and aching legs through her pregnancy. Her legs were much better after but I think because she worked right up until giving birth and her job involved lots of standing for very long periods she made it worse. She has had some sort of light pulsar thing to get rid of the really bad ones but think if she had sat down and rested more she wouldn't have spent so much money on getting rid of them.
