Being a parent is an exhausting business and it is not always easy to find time to cook or eat properly! Often it’s easier to grab convenience food and this is not always the best option for keeping you fit and healthy. Celebrity Mums and media also add to the pressure to be back into your pre-pregnancy clothes as soon as possible. All this added pressure to look your best, whilst taking care of a child, can prove to be difficult. Many celebrities have their own chefs and caterers to cook their meals for them, a luxury many of us don’t have! It is hard work looking after a child and you’ll need to keep your energy levels up even if you are desperate to get back into your pre-pregnancy clothes.
How to keep your energy levels up…..
- Small regular meals will keep up energy levels and keep your metabolism ticking over
- Keep the fruit bowl well stocked for a quick fix
- Don’t be afraid to ask for help from a friend or family. Maybe they could prepare a few meals you can freeze and eat when you’re ready
- Stock up on healthy cereal bars, oats, raisins, soups, anything that’s quick, healthy, easy to prepare and will stop you seeking out chocolate for a sugar rush!
As long as you follow a healthy diet with gentle exercise you will loose weight gradually without even trying! It’s amazing how just making a few simple changes to your will diet can have a big effect on how you feel both inside and outside! Remember don’t be too hard on yourself, you’ve got a baby to care for and that’s not an easy task!

I agree with the last two sentences in this article. There is such a ridiculous pressure nowadays to lose the weight quickly after you give birth. I am tired of seeing headlines in magazines about Gwyneth or Posh shedding the weight only 4 weeks after their babies were born. Of course, most celebs do nothing but take care of their bodies and have the means and the time for a personal chef, a personal trainer and surgery if necessary. All I’m saying is we should not be influenced by them. Like my doctor said “hurry is the number one enemy of diets.”
